Scalable, robust 3-tier architecture

METAGRID uses a unique cached-client 3-tier architecture. The application can be deployed on Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases. The middle tier layer has been developed using J2EE technology - the core application logic resides in this tier. The front-end cache-client developed in Visual Basic has the presentation layer and is deployed on the individual user machines. All communication between cached client and server is in XML.

Automated and centralized version management

All updates and version changes in the application can be administered centrally. The cached-client auto-synchronizes the latest client components on each login with the latest components on the server.

Deployable on multiple operating systems and databases

METAGRID Server can be deployed on Windows NT/2000, Solaris or Linux. Database can be Oracle, Microsoft SQL or MySQL. The client can be installed on Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP.
